There was a time where random, maverik thoughts were dismissed.Nowadays they are thought as productive and are even encouraged (not everywhere and by everyone,though).
So, i though i'd add random thoughts to our blog.It might make sense or it might not,it may sound crazy or dull,2 philosophical or 2 scientific,and might not even make sense but i hope that you do not mock because i'm speaking my mind!(well,actualy writing!)
i do encourage every1 write theirs 2.
all right, then. My 1st random thought blog:
'Why does 'money' has to be money and 'stars',stars??
What if 'money' as stars and 'stars' was money?then the 'common people' dreamed of reaching money and the greesdy of reaching the 'stars'....'

About the Random Thoughts you decided to focus on here, nice idea. Maybe it would be a good thing if people started posting their own random thoughts as comments to this post.
Now, about the particular "random thought" you gave us at the end of the post, well... It's a little confusing in the beginning, but after some reviewing, and some thinking on the subject, I kind of got the idea.
Well, just a thought then:
I had a colleague in a former class that was, not just fascinated, but obsessed by the idea of living in some other time, some other century, etc. The guy said he'd like to be born in the Portuguese 1800's.
Now... I found myself thinking about... and... I could not imagine myself living in a time where there were no computers, no Internet, few knowledge and such a colossal distance between every point in the planet (for example, the impossibility of talking to a girl in Dubai without leaving Lisboa).
But, contrary to what we would think, I wouldn't rather live in a time after our own... in the so called "Future".
If we think about it, I guess we're trapped in a time where the Past was worst because of lack of knowledge and scientific breakthroughs, and the Future seems so dark because of the excesses we made and discovered about this same knowledge and scientific breakthroughs.
As a final note, I guess this just comes to help that theory/way of living that tells us to live every moment in life, and breathe every breath like if it was our last.
Ups... Kind of a long thought... Sorry :p

Também já tinha pensado nessa questão de em que época é que gostaria de viver se me dessem a escolher, e tinha chegado exactamente a mesma conclusão que tu, escolhia o agora, porque analisando o passado, o presente é na sua maioria melhor, e quanto às expectativas do futuro, com cada vez mais problemas ambientais e ecológicos, a nossa época parece ganhar.
Um outro random thought, pode parecer parvo, mas gosto de perguntar isto, onde é que escolheriam ter nascido e viver, se pudessem ter tido a opurtunidade de escolher?Eu não sei...mas estou feliz por ter nascido em Portugal e por cá viver

n yes, i'm confusing,i mean it's difficult for me to get an idea across.i would like to blame the fact that english is not my 1st language, but the fact is that i'v always been like this i've never been able to express myself very well :( (but the fact is tht when i was in portugal i rarely expressed myself so i guess there's an improvement!)
abt in which era to live.. i think i should hv been born some yrs afterwards.not many but some 5 to 10 yrs...
n morgaine's question... if i had a choice i would rather hv the oppurtunity to decide in the family and surroundings to be born more than in which country.not that i'm unhappy with my immediate family... but i sometimes wished i wasn't born in the familty i was born, in the culture i was born...
it's a long story..maybe next time!this was meant to be a random thought, but it became more of a deep thought!lol
